Our anniversary picnic!
Our anniversary picnic!

Last Monday, Alys & I decided to have a slumber party.
We watched the movie Chloe, chit-chatted all night & even baked cupcakes.
We discovered that we are an awesome baking team
and we just might have to take this further...
Especially since we shared our delicious treats at Beauty Bar
the following day and they were an absolute hit!
Ah, life has been amazing, truly. My friends are awesome, family great and boyfriend amazing. Although summer is coming to a close, I am (for the first time in a long time) looking forward to fall. I feel like it's gonna be too wonderful for words. School is coming up and I'm a tad excited, well... Kinda. This upcoming Sunday, my boyfriend and I are heading to DC for an overnight stay. I can't wait to visit the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, as well as the National Gallery of Art. I'm also looking forward to the Afro-Punk Festival, August 27th/28th. Following that, my boyfriend and girlfriends are throwing yet another arts & crafts/happy hour/party at Beauty Bar Brooklyn on Tuesday, August 30th. This time it'll be 90's themed... I'm currently working on the flyer as I create this blog post, so once it's all complete, I'll be promoting via this blog, Facebook and Twitter, so add/follow me! If I don't know you personally, send me a little message, letting me know you're a follower of my blog so I can accept & follow back. These events will be the perfect close to my amazing summer and a great introduction to a super anticipated fall season. Can't wait!
I hope that life is treating all of you spectacularly!
Thanks for reading, darlings.
XO

So glad to hear your doing great! Thats so cute that you guys had a picnic for your anniversary it looks like you two had a blast! :) I am going to add you on fb now hehe
ReplyDeletep.s. I die every time you post pictures of your cupcakes!
I love picnics! super adorable photos!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos!!I honestly love the fact that you like to get out and explore.Honestly it because of you I actually want to take pics and learn how to use a camera lol. Is there any suggestions you might have on what type of camera to purchase?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're still on blogger, I've moved eastxWEST here after being on tumblr. And also (this is random) I really like you with this kid, you seem very happy, but you have BALANCE, cuz your girlfriend time is still very much there too. I'm glad you're doing well pretty <3
ReplyDelete@ Briana: Thanks, darling! Yeah, our picnic was pretty sweet and it was the perfect picnic weather, too. Glad you finally added me on FB. Now we can keep in touch more often. :)
ReplyDelete@ mama bear: Me too & thank you! XOXO.
@ Modest-Rebel: Thank you, sweetheart. Getting out and exploring is what life is about. I'd be wasting time if I didn't. I'm so glad that I can serve as some sort of inspiration for you. That is so flattering. I'd love to see what you can come up with, so go for it! I don't even own a DSLR, my camera is a Nikon Coolpix L120. It has an advanced lens, but it isn't removable. I recommend it for beginners. I'm not a photographer, so I wouldn't really splurge on anything TOO advanced or humongous. This camera is perfect for me and easy to navigate. I recommend it. :)
@ Diti: Hey babydoll... Long time, no speak. I'm glad you're back on Blogger! Thank you for your compliments. You're too sweet. I am very happy and I'm glad people are picking up on that, it means a lot... And YES! I try my best to maintain some sort of balance between my loved ones. My girls are very important to me. <3 Stay well, beautiful.
